Boating, fishing and hiking are popular at Lake Greenwood State Recreational Area. Species of fish include bass, crappie, bream, perch, catfish, stripers. Three boat ramps provide private boat access to Lake Greenwood.

There is also a short 0.8-mile nature trail that begins at the recreation building located in campground #1.
