Boating, fishing and hiking are popular at Devils Fork State Park. The water is deep and crystal clear and is an excellent habitat for many species of fish, including brown trout, rainbow trout, white bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, bluegill and black crappie. Four boat ramps provide private boat access to the lake. For hikers, the Bear Cove Trail is a moderate hiking trail about 2 miles in length that winds through a predominately hardwood forest; and the Oconee Bell Nature Trail is an easy 1-mile loop nature trail. See the Devils Fork State Park web site for maps of both of these trails.

The website sponsored by the South Carolina state park system is an excellent source for more information on Devils Fork State Park campground.
