Fishing, golfing, hiking and biking are all popular sport activities at Cheraw State Park.

Fishing in Lake Juniper includes bass, bream and catfish. A boat ramp provides access to Lake Juniper for private boats with no more than 10 horsepower. You can also rent canoes and non-motorized boats daily.

Cheraw State Park includes a picturesque championship 18-hole golf course complete with a clubhouse, practice green, driving range a pro shop and snack grill.

Hiking trails include the Turkey Oak Trail, a loop trail that is 4.5-miles in length and includes an option for a shorter1.9 mile loop (the Cheraw Nature Trail). Along Lake Juniper is a half-mile boardwalk trail that crosses the dam spillway.

And if you have a bike you can take the 9 mile bike trail on a predominately sandy surface through a mixed forest of pines and hardwoods.
