Welcome to our review of Cheraw State Park campground.
General Information:
Cheraw State Park is located in the northeast corner of South Carolina in Cheraw about 78 miles from Charlotte. The park is noted for having an 18-hole championship golf course. Lake Juniper lies within the park - a 360 acre CCC reservoir built during the Great Depression. Fishing and boating on the lake, hiking on the Cheraw Nature, Turkey Oak, and Boardwalk trails, and biking the 9 mile bike trail are all popular activities at Cheraw State Park. Beautiful View:
Per the reservations web site, the following camp sites are “Lakefront” and should have views of Lake Juniper: 7-9, 11-12, 15.

Campground Details:
The state park campground includes approximately 8 cabins and 18 camp sites all back-in except for 2 pull-thrus. Each campsite is packed gravel and has individual water and electrical hookups. The pull-through sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, others up to 34 feet. The campground is convenient to restrooms with hot showers. A dump station is available for RVs.
