Welcome to our review of Ochlockonee River State Park campground.
General Information:
Located in a fairly remote area of the Florida panhandle, the heart of Ochlockonee River State Park is the Ochlockonee River. Ochlockonee, means "yellow waters," which is a mixture of brackish, tidal surge, and fresh water. Pristine and deep, the river empties into the Gulf of Mexico. With the river next to the campground, it’s a great park for fishing and boating as well as bird watching and hiking along the river and through the pine forest.
Beautiful View:
Scenic views available at the campground include the trees and other native vegetation surrounding most campsites that also give most camp sites a fair degree of privacy.

Campground Details:
This small, well laid out campground only has 30 campsites, that can accommodate RV lengths of 25 – 40 feet. Most sites have 30 amp electrical service and water hookup. Only two of the 30 sites are pull-thru with the rest being back-in. Amenities include modern restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers and a dump station and potable water. All Florida state parks are open year-round; but there may be restrictions on the camping season. Call the state park for more information on campground opening and closing dates. More remote and secluded than many Florida state parks, Ochlockonee River State Park offers a quiet and peaceful “back to nature” experience offering many beautiful, scenic views.
