The Overseas Heritage Multi-use Trail passes through the park, so bicycling is popular here. Canoeing and kayaking are also very popular at the park. The waters are shallow and usually calm with gentle currents. While at the park, make sure you take the1.5-mile nature trail which winds through the hardwood hammock forest, the park’s name sake.
