Welcome to our review of Anastasia State Park campground.
General Information:
Anastasia State Park, on the Atlantic coast of Northeast Florida with four miles of pristine ocean shore, has a beautiful and very popular campground located close to the beach (within walking distance from many of the campsites). It’s also very close to the historic tourist town of St. Augustine and abounds in opportunities for recreation including biking, hiking, boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, windsurfing and bird watching.
Beautiful View:
Although many campsites are within walking distance of the ocean, they don’t have direct views of it. Nevertheless, most campsites have beautiful native tropical foliage surrounding three sides giving most sites not only privacy, but also a sense of peace, tranquility and natural beauty. It makes staying around, relaxing at the camp site a pleasure. One camper recommends the Coquina loop because of its close proximity to the beach and the resulting ocean breeze.

Campground Details:
The campground includes 139 camp sites, all with thirty amp electrical service and water hookup. The park has a dump station, potable water, and clean bathrooms including flush toilets, hot showers and laundry facilities. The campsite RV parking sizes range from 10 to 36 feet. All of the RV sites are back-in. All Florida state parks are open year-round; but there may be restrictions on the camping season. Summary:
Anastasia State Park is consistently reviewed as “beautiful”, “wonderful”, “well-maintained”, etc. The camp sites are spacious, private and have a natural beauty with campsites surrounded by lush tropical native vegetation. Lots of recreational activities are available, and perhaps one of the most attractive features of the park is its close proximity to four miles of beautiful pristine beach. If you have a chance to camp at this park, give it a try, especially if you’re looking for a camping experience filled with beautiful views.
