The campground at Alafia River State Park is not as popular as many other Florida campgrounds, but reservations are still recommended. Reservations are administered by state sponsored Reserve America and detailed descriptions for each campsite are available by clicking on any site from the interactive campground map that allows you to not only see where each site is in relation to the entire campground, but lists all relevant details of each site. While browsing their website, you’ll find an extensive list of activities and amenities found in and nearby the campground. Access to this excellent resource is gained through the home page of the Alafia River State Park web site. The campground is close to the river but doesn’t have direct views of it. Some of the camp sites are closer to the water than others, and if this is important to you, be sure to look at the campground map on the reservations web site before making your reservation.
