Reviews from other campers have good things to say about the park and campground. Although the campground itself looks like a parking lot, the reviews of other campers indicate that the excellent views of the ocean are worth it. Campers also appreciate the close proximity (within walking distance) of the campground to the small town of Morro Bay. Although the campground can fill up during peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), one camper reported that the campground was “practically empty” during his visit in September, 2008. Since there is no separation or privacy between sites, off-season is probably the better time to visit this State Beach.
