Seals, sea lions and an occasional gray whale can be seen in the area December through May and tide pools contain starfish, sea anemones, crabs, snails, octopi and sea urchins. Walking and biking in the campground and around the nearby town of Carpinteria are also popular activities that many campers enjoy during their visit.
