A description of this campground can be found at the following web site: U.S. National Forest Campground Guide After going to this site, depending on your web browser, you may need to scroll down to the name of this campground. Campgrounds are in alphabetical order. Below is an excerpt of comments about this campground found at this site:
"...The campground, located on the north shore of Slide Lake, is composed of three unnamed loops. The loop above the boat ramp on the west side of the campground, has the longer paved parking aprons and co-located water spigots. These sites also have a partial view of the slide that formed Slide Lake. The loop nearest the campground entrance features a number of secluded, private camping sites with short paved parking aprons. The third loop is located above another boat ramp on the east side of the campground. Most of the sites have an outstanding view of the slide area and the Gros Ventre Mt. Take a 0.5-mile walk on the nearby Gros Ventre Slide Interpretive Trail for an interesting explanation (visual and written) of the area's geology. The campground is convenient to Jackson, WY and the Grand Teton National Park...
...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques...
...The parking aprons are paved and gravel...
...Slide Lake is 700 acres. Boat ramps are located on the east and west sides of the campground. The ramp on the east side includes a dock and is more boat friendly. Camping site 14 is only site with boat carry-down access..."
