A description of this campground can be found at the following web site: U.S. National Forest Campground Guide After going to this site, depending on your web browser, you may need to scroll down to the name of this campground. Campgrounds are in alphabetical order. Below is an excerpt of comments about this campground found at this site:
"...This undiscovered campground near Pound Lake, originally Corps of Engineers, is situated in a "hollar" surrounded by mature mixed woods which provide good Fall colors. There are two sections: a small loop beside the North Fork of Pound Lake (thick growth of cat's tail plants hide lake from view), while the second section stretches out along Bad Creek. Although the grass understory in entire campground is nicely manicured, the second section features grass parking aprons in the open and undefined, providing a more rustic feel. On the other hand, the first section is newer and features partial cement parking aprons, large rock-dust pads and pedestal grilles. Each campsite in campground has a lantern pole...
...Some parking aprons are gravel, part gravel and cement, and undefined grass...
...The flush toilets and showers are accessed by climbing 60 steps...
...There is a boat ramp at Wise Landing, about a mile from the campground. The ramp provides access to North Fork (150 acres) of Pound Reservoir..."
