"....The campground is a large single loop that circles a Ponderosa- dotted grass meadow. The camp sites on the outside of the loop are among large, mature Ponderosa pine with the sites on the southeast side providing a panoramic view of a meadow in the foreground and Henry Mountains in the background. This is an excellent campground for the transient camper or camper staying longer...

... For those staying longer than one night, this is a good base camp for at least two outstanding day trips. One is to drive north on State Rts. 12 and 24 about 20 miles to the Capitol Reef National Park. The other is to drive southwest, again on State Rt. 12, to Escalante through a portion of the Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument. The views are spectacular; bring a picnic lunch...

... The Singletree Falls Trail departs from the campground and is a fun hike along Singletree Creek, down grass meadows through mixed conifers to a waterfall. The trail is moderately steep and rocky and hiking boots are recommended. The trail literature says its length is one mile one way, but it is more like one mile round trip. On those hot days, take a towel to dry off after standing under the falls...
