"...This small campground, offering little more than quiet and a chance for solitude, is often overlooked. Fishing opportunities at Bards Lake and Lake Barkley are another reason to visit this campground. Some sites have a pleasant view of both lakes. Possible day trips are the North and South Welcome Stations, Golden Pond Visitor Center, the Planetarium, Elk and Bison Prairie, Woodlands Nature Station, and The Homeplace...

...The parking aprons are gravel...

... An RV waste station, with potable water, is available at South Welcome Station - no fee...

...Bards Lake, with 320 acres, is a no wake lake. Lake Barkley is 59,700 acres. There is a primitive boat ramp near campground's second entrance..."
