"...The campground is situated adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway and near the Cape Rowain Wildlife Refuge. It is configured in the round with grass open space in the middle. Fishing and pleasure boats (very big) can be observed on the Intracoastal Waterway from all sites. Buck Hall is site of SeeWee Indian fishing camp. It is short distance from Charleston and Georgetown for sightseeing. The campground is very popular. While visiting there (about 9 days) no site stayed vacant more then a couple hours. Area was hit hard by the hurricane, Hugo, in 1989. The continuing recovery process can be seen on the way into the campground...
...This campground offers a huge variety of fish for the fishing enthusiast. According to the locals, the area is considered the "best shrimp baiting" location on the East Coast. Directly across the waterway from the campground is Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. Access it by canoe or power boat and travel the many water "trails." Pets are not permitted.
