"...The campground winds around Lake in the Woods offering almost every campsite a view of the lake. The lake began as a marsh until it was made into the lake in 1954. By the end of summer, this swampy past can be seen in the lake's algae-covered still water. In the Spring a wreath of rhododendron and wildflowers bring beautiful color to the lake and campground. Privacy between campsites is good. Mature Douglas fir surround the lake...

...The parking aprons are dirt. Grey water disposal sites are scattered around campground...
