We visited this campground in late November 2006. The vista of the distant White Mountain Wilderness Area, mountains and arid landscape is beautiful and unobstructed. There are only 2 camp sites (both RV) with electric and water hook-up. But the campground also allows camping in the picnic area as well. Both areas have totally unobstructed views of the surrounding Wilderness. The 2 RV sites are well separated from each other but have no vegetation between them so that you can see other RV's in the campground and picnic areas. There is a hiking trail to the petroglyphs on the edge of the picnic area and there is a visitor information building with information about the petroglyphs. The trail to the petroglyphs is an easy 1/2 mile hike and very scenic. This is a real gem that looks like it in the middle of nowhere.
