Review # 1 by Camping With A View

We visited this campground on a day trip in early August 2006. Most sites are spacious and well separated and there are many waterfront sites on the shoreline of Pomme De Terre reservoir/lake. In general, sites are attractive, fairly secluded and well laid out. Views of the lake from the sites recommended on our Home Page for this campground were fair to excellent. The Missouri State Park web site has a map of all of the camp sites and where they are in relation to the lake with photos of most sites. This is an excellent resource for choosing a site in advance. Click on the "Photos" link to see these photos.

Below are excerpts from the Missouri State Parks and Historic Web site:

"Campground loops 100 and 200 are open year-round. Campground loops 300 and 400 are open from April through October and closed from November through March.

Services include a full-service marina, beach, shelterhouse, laundry, water, picnic area, trails, dump station and an accessible showerhouse. The dump station, showerhouse and water are turned off from November through March.

For reservations, there is a required two-night minimum stay for weekends and major holidays during the on-season."
