"...The campground is attractive and very user-friendly offering a wide variety of activities for all. The vegetation is dense and comprised of ash, beech, chestnut, oak, maple, dogwood, elm, fir, hemlock, juniper, and gum - a colorful place to be in the Fall. Shade is, of course, ample. Middlestory provides fair to excellent privacy. Some sites overlook Cave Run Lake. Horseshoe and basketball courts available. Paved walkways link the 10 loops in the campground. Walkways to bathrooms are tastefully illuminated. There are a variety of birds, deer, chipmunks and squirrels throughout the campground. The campground store offers limited groceries, ice, and firewood. Some unique features found at the campground are a wind surf area and lagoons for tying up boats. There are active interpretive programs on weekends during summer months. One nice day trip is visiting the Morehead District Visitor Center to obtain information and view the exhibits...

...Parking aprons are paved. Full hookups available if not occupied by a host or volunteer...

...Cave Run Lake is 8,270 acres. Large sandy beach...

...A network of unnamed trails link campground's sections, loops, beach, and boat ramps to a lake shore trail. ..... "
