"...This campground is one of 37 in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area (SNRA). It stretches along the north shore of Stanley Lake in a stand of Lodgepole pine. Many camp sites are adjacent to the lake and all have a view of the lake, McGowan Peak of the Sawtooth Mountain Range and Sawtooth Wilderness. This is a nice place to relax, sit by the lake and enjoy the views. Be sure and visit the Stanley Lake Overlook with its interpretive signs. This is a good base camp to enjoy the activities in and around Stanley, ID including the SNRA...

...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques...

...The parking aprons are gravel...

...Stanley Lake is 179 acres. The beach is sandy. A boat ramp is available at the Stanley Lake Inlet campground. Over 1,000 lakes are in the SNRA, a few of which are large enough to accommodate most water sports. Contact an SNRA Ranger District Office for additional information..."
