"... The campground is a large single loop stretching through a stand of large, mature Ponderosa pine on a bluff well above the South Fork of Payette River. Although there is no understory or middlestory, most camp sites are well spaced and provide fair privacy. While at the campground, take a towel and hike down to the hot springs west of the campground on the shore of the river. The hot springs are not only great to soak in but also to photograph. The campground is a good transient, overnight stop but because of its tranquil setting, hot springs and wildlife viewing (bald eagles in particular), it's great for more than one night too...
...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques...
...The parking aprons are paved..."
