"...The campground is composed of four unnamed sections - a horse camp section, two single-family sections, and a group section (not included in count). One single-family section is reached by continuing straight at the campground's entrance. This single- lane road splits, one side wrapping around the west side of Bull Trout Lake (no Bull trout) with the other stretching along the north shore of the lake. The sites on the north shore (1-8) are recommended for tents and small RVs. These camp sites are tucked into a pleasant mixture of shady Douglas firs, Lodgepole pines, and other conifers on the shore of the lake. The sites on the west shore of the lake (9-15) are also nestled in the cool shade of firs, pines, and other conifers and are recommended for tents only. To enter the second single-family camping section, turn right at the campground's entrance. This section (16-32) is the newest part of the campground and touches the smaller Martin Lake. Lodgepole pines dominate this single loop and although none of the camp sites are adjacent to Martin Lake, some have a view of the lake. The horse camp section is 0.2 miles before the fee booth on the left side of the road next to Kirkham Ridge trail head parking area. It has four camp sites (33-36) each with a corral and spacious parking aprons. The sites must be reserved or used for overflow. Lodgepole pines dominate this section. Privacy varies from fair to very good throughout the campground...
...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques...
...The parking aprons are gravel in the newest and horse sections and dirt and irregular in the other sections...
...The water spigots are hand pumps..."
