Review # 1 by Camping With A View
We visited this campground in early October 2006. The campground is well maintained by the Linn County Conservation Department and is very close to a major shopping district in Marion County. Many sites have fair to good separation and excellent views of a prairie/meadow adjacent to the campground. The fall colors of the surrounding deciduous trees is also very pretty. The campground is part of Squaw Creek Park and adjacent to Gardener Golf Course.
One drawback to the campground is that it's close to a major highway and a residential area. You can occasionally hear muffled traffic noise from the campground and see the residential area in the distance. Nevertheless, it still is a very pretty campground with very nice views. Although we can hear the traffic noise a little from the campground, we still feel a sense of quiet and natural beauty that has attracted us to stay here several times.
