Beautiful View:   River and Mature Deciduous/Fall Colors Forest

Upper Chattahoochee River campground is located high in the north Georgia mountains along the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River. There is a beautiful waterfall a short walking distance from the campground.

Best Sites: The campground is situated along Upper Chattahoochee River in tall, mature mixed woods. Some sites overlook the river. Per ranger district personnel, depending on the weather, Fall colors in this campground can be very beautiful in late October and early November.
