Beautiful View:   Meadows, Mountains and Mixed Forest

Jacks Gulch campground is in a rustic area. Jacks Gulch is a huge flat with mixed forest of ponderosa pine and aspen, interspersed with flower-laden meadows.

Best Sites: Per ranger district personnel, the following sites in the first group of campsites as you enter the campground (the Columbine loop) should have views of a meadow: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25. The following sites in the Yarrow loop should have good views of the Mummy mountain range: 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 and 47.
