A description of this campground can be found at the following web site: U.S. National Forest Campground Guide After going to this site, depending on your web browser, you may need to scroll down to the name of this campground. Campgrounds are in alphabetical order. Below is an excerpt of comments about this campground found at this site:
"...This is a walk-in tent campground only. It stretches 0.7 miles above Sawmill Valley and Lee Vining Creek. The first camp site is 0.15 miles from parking lot. Sites 11 and 12 (next to the Harvey Monroe Hall National Area border) are 0.2 miles from camp site 10. Solitude, breathtaking vistas, hiking opportunities, etc. all make this campground an awesome experience. Bear-proof food containers are available. Tioga Pass Resort has limited groceries, fishing supplies and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Day trips should be considered to Yosemite National Park and Mono Basin Scenic Area...
...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. "Possessing/storing food so bears/wild animals have access will result in a fine of at least $150." ..."
