A description of this campground can be found at the following web site: U.S. National Forest Campground Guide After going to this site, depending on your web browser, you may need to scroll down to the name of this campground. Campgrounds are in alphabetical order. Below is an excerpt of comments about this campground found at this site:

"...This scenic campground, located between two moraines, has a spur leading to two unnamed loops. All camp sites are on a sagebrush and wild rose covered plain with magnificent views of the John Muir Wilderness. McGee Creek flows beside campground but only a few camp sites overlook the creek. The campground is a pleasant base camp for the McGee Creek Trailhead. Camp sites on the spur and first loop are largest while second/upper loop has smaller side-by-side parking slots. There is no privacy between camp sites, but each one has a ramada. The drive to campground is very scenic including view of Crowley Lake - lake is convenient to campground. Firewood is available for a fee...

...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. "Possessing/storing food so bears/wild animals have access will result in a fine of at least $150."...

...The parking aprons are paved. Most aprons are same size except 3 pairs which are side-by-side on 30' X 29' parking aprons...

...An RV waste station, with no potable water, is located across from French Camp campground..."
