Beautiful View:   River and Deciduous Forest

Matthews Creek campground is a tent only campground located on a bluff overlooking the South Fork of the Salmon River. Per ranger district personnel, the campground is very remote and hard to get to.

Best Sites: Matthews Creek has a wonderful swimming hole, and deep clear pools which are excellent for fishing. Several sites overlook the river.
