A description of this campground can be found at the following web site: U.S. National Forest Campground Guide After going to this site, depending on your web browser, you may need to scroll down to the name of this campground. Campgrounds are in alphabetical order. Below is an excerpt of comments about this campground found at this site:
"...The campground is adjacent to one of the few high mountain lakes - Kangaroo Lake, accessible with a car, in Klamath National Forest. It has one spur of walk-in tent sites and a loop that meanders across the top of a mountain. Views from some campsites are breathtaking. Mature conifers provide good shade. Although the ground is rocky, a pleasant variety of ground covers, including Manzanita, provide lots of green - a very scenic campground. The walk-in tent sites are very nice but with little privacy. Access to the lake and day-use area is through the walk-in tent site area...
...The parking aprons are gravel...
...Kangaroo Lake is 25 acres. Access to lake with canoe, raft, or kayak is but a short walk from parking area..."
