A description of this campground can be found at the following web site: U.S. National Forest Campground Guide After going to this site, depending on your web browser, you may need to scroll down to the name of this campground. Campgrounds are in alphabetical order. Below is an excerpt of comments about this campground found at this site:

"...The campground is one of five located on the northeast shore of the beautiful Medicine Lake. Most sites either have a view of the lake or are along the shoreline. Lodgepole pines provide ample shade. Many of the shoreline campsites are best suited for tent campers. Because of leveling problems on parking aprons, the campground is not well suited for motorhomes. Travel trailers and tent campers would fair better in the campground. Possible day trips from campground are Glass Mountain and Lava Beds National Monument. Mooring of boats at some campsites is possible...

...The parking aprons are gravel...

...Medicine Lake is 640 acres - a natural lake. Water skiing permitted from 10AM to 5PM. Large sandy beach and boat ramp are located in day-use area..."
