"...The campground has four unnamed loops on a hillside above South Fork of Bishop Creek. Although some camp sites are along the creek's edge, tucked in among Quaking aspen, most are on sagebrush covered slopes with unobstructive views of distant Muir Wilderness mountain peaks. The campground has numerous good size parking aprons but some require some dexterity to properly level. The campground got its name from the towering Jeffrey pines at entrance. Firewood is available for a fee. The nearby Cardinal Village Resort offers a variety of services from limited groceries and fishing supplies to internet access, a cafe serving breakfast and lunch, and much more...
...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. "Possessing/storing food so bears/wild animals have access will result in a fine of at least $150."...
