Below is a description of this campground from the USDA Forest Service web site:
"Situated near the Mt. Baldy trailheads and the East and West forks of the Little Colorado River, Winn campground is an excellent choice for anglers and hikers. Some sites border a large meadow where elk are often seen at twilight. The two group sites can accommodate up to 50 people each and are popular with scout groups and for family reunions. Vegetation type is mixed conifer and aspen.
Be prepared for rain, often heavy, through July and August. Expect cool to cold nighttime temperatures..."

"...Campground is located in the Lee Valley Recreation Area. There are two loops - Deer and Bobcat. It is wooded with Ponderosa, Spruce, Douglas Fir and Aspen. The understory is grass and pine needles. Wildlife viewing of deer, elk and turkey is a regular event. The campground is convenient to the Mt. Baldy Wilderness and is about 1.5 miles from the Lee Valley Reservoir. Firewood is available..."
