"...The campground is located 8 miles from the Grand Canyon National Park (south rim). It is composed of three loops - Toroweap, Hermit and Moenkopi and has to be one of the best kept secrets for camping near the Grand Canyon. The sites are spacious and widely spaced and will accommodate any size RV. Ponderosa, Pinyon and Juniper pines and Gambel oaks shade the sites. The understory is comprised of a variety of vegetation, including Sage, Skunk Bush, grass, Paintbrush and Lupine. Interpretive programs are provided on the weekends. Coyotes and Elk are occasional visitors. Group areas available for reservation (1-928-638-2443)...
...The parking aprons are paved. Some of the pull throughs are very long and will accommodate more than one large RV. Spigots are set back well from the road making making them difficult to use for filling water tanks....
... There is a waste station at the Grand Canyon Camper Village in Tusayan. The fee is $2 - no potable water..."
