A description of this campground can be found at the following web site: U.S. National Forest Campground Guide After going to this site, depending on your web browser, you may need to scroll down to the name of this campground. Campgrounds are in alphabetical order. Below is an excerpt of comments about this campground found at this site:

"...The campground, located in the Pinaleno Mountains, stretches along a hillside on the southwest side of the picturesque Riggs Flat Lake. The terraced walls at each camp site are comprised of native rock. Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine provide ample shade and campers should be prepared to share the campground with tuff-ear squirrels. Although there is little understory, widely spaced camp sites provide good privacy. To the left and in back of site #28, there is a marvelous view of the valley below. This is an excellent tenters campground with most sites being walk-ins. There are bear proof food containers at some camp sites...

...This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques...

...Riggs Flat Lake is 11 acres. Only electric motors are permitted on power boats..."
