"...There are three loops - A through C. Campground is located on Ashurst Lake among some Ponderosa Juniper pines. There are lots of birds and waterfowl, Blue Heron, among others. Most sites overlook the lake with a view of the San Francisco Peaks. The understory is rocky and grass. Because of consistent winds, lake is excellent for wind surfing and Sunfish sailing...

...The parking aprons are gravel...

...Fill water tank before arriving at campground. There is a waste station at the Pinegrove (National Forest) campground - toward Flagstaff. Access to waste station requires backing RV into the facility - no fee if National Forest campground stub presented...

...Ashurst Lakes is 230 acres. Boat ramp at campground is in dis-repair. Use ramp on west side of the lake in the Ashurst campground. Excellent lake for wind surfing and Sunfish sailing. Power boats are limited to 8hp... "
