"...Campground is one of six in the East Fork Recreation Area and is pack it in, pack it out [whatever you take in you take out - garbage, etc.]. It is near the East Fork of the Black River and is located among Ponderosa and other mixed pines upon a grassy understory. Some sites have a log lean-to shelter. Campground is composed of three clusters along Forest Rt. 276. The first cluster (sites 1-6) has water and is located along the East Fork of the Black River. The remaining clusters have no water, but is easily accessible from the first cluster. Firewood is available for a fee...
...The campground gets its name from a large boulder shaped like a diamond. It is located close to campground entrance alongside Forest Rt. 276...
...The parking aprons are gravel. The turn-around at end of first cluster (sites 1-6) is tight and could be difficult for some RVs to negotiate. There is no RV turn-around for the second cluster (sites 7 & 8)...
... There is a waste station (with potable water) at the Forest Service's Big Lake Recreation area - fee $3 and the Alpine Village RV Park off US Rt. 180 in Alpine, AZ - fee $5..."
