"...Campground is one of four in the Big Lake Recreation Area. It is located above Big Lake on the east shore in a mixed forest of pine trees with a grassy understory. The sites are well separated with some overlooking the lake ... There are interpretive programs and guided nature walks, usually provided from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Wildlife viewing of elk, deer, antelope and turkey is an attraction of the campground and area. There is a store on the lake with limited groceries, regular unleaded gas, bait and boat rentals (power - 4 and 6hp and row boats). Firewood is available..."
