"...The campground, adjacent to Lake Lewis Smith with a nicely manicured grass understory, consists of four loops - Bear, Fox, Hoot Owl and Fawn. A thick mixture of deciduous and conifer trees provide good shade and privacy between campsites. Basketball, volleyball and horseshoe courts are located along the shore of lake in Fox Loop. Some sites are adjacent to the lake. Generally, campsites in the Fawn and Hoot Owl Loops have limited views of the lake, while campers in Fox Loop enjoy good views. Each campsite has a lantern pole. There is an interpretive program during the summer. A security gate is located at entrance to campground where ice is also located. This is a popular campground - reservations are recommended, especially during summer...
