Beautiful View: Mountains, Lake/Reservoir and Mixed Forest

Cascade Lake Recreation Area campground is located adjacent to the DuPont State Forest in a mixed (maple, oak, hemlock, pine, locust and other species of trees native to western North Carolina) forest on Cascade Lake. Many campsites have views of either Cascade Lake, Little Lake and the hilltops of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Best Sites: Sites, A1, A2, A3, A5, D11, D14, D16, D17, D18, D19, D37, D30, D32, and D33 ,L2, L1 and P 1-9 all have views of the water. Most sites also have views of the mountains and beautiful Fall colors during peak Fall foliage.
