"...This campground is shoe horned into the steep terrain around an abandoned granite quarry. The sites are small and very difficult to manuever in and out of. About 50% of the terrain is only suitable for tenting. ...for the adult camper without children, it is on the QUIET side of the island and the view of Somes Sound is absolutely breathtaking. If you are a self contained traveler, good at squeezing into small sites and want a quiet, spectacular view, this CG is for you. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel. ..."
