Welcome to our review of Somes Sound View Campground.

Beautiful View:  Mountains, Ocean, Quarry

Somes Sound View Campground is located on Mount Desert Island overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and a beautiful granite quarry. Some sites also have views of the mountains in the distance. This is primarily a tent campground with 7 RV sites and 60 tent sites.

Best Sites: Per campground personnel, sites 36, 36B, 37,38,39,39B are water front sites. Sites A1-3 over look a beautiful granite quarry. Many other sites have water views but are not water front.
