Beautiful View:  Ocean and Dunes

Hermit Island campground located on a 255 acre peninsula at the southern tip of Phippsburg, Maine. The peninsula is roughly 1.5 miles long and .5 miles wide at the widest point. Many sites have views of the ocean, and/or sand dunes.

Best Sites: This campground has 51 "Ocean Prime" sites that have an ocean view and/or beach access; but they have many other sites that have partial views as well. Some sites recommended by a recent camper include: 10, 11, 12, and 12N Joe's Head Road. 5, 6, and 6S Ocean Sweep. 2 Lee Side Way. 61, 62, 64, 65, 66W, and 66N West Dune Way. 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 Western Reach. 1, 2, 3, and 4 Cross Island.
