Welcome to our reviews of campgrounds that have camp sites with beautiful views of forests. Most of the campgrounds featured in Camping With A View are located in or have views of forests. We have categorized these forests into various types:
Old Growth/Mature Forests contain primarily old, mature trees which tend to be very tall with large, thick trunks. These forests tend to be less densely populated with trees than newer growth forests. Old Growth forests, as opposed to Mature forests, have never been lumberjacked and are very rare.
Redwood/Sequoia Forests are a category of Old Growth Forests but contain primarily Redwood Trees.
Rain Forests (temperate) are located in areas of the country with unusually high amounts of rain and are often characterized by moss and lichen covered trees, ferns and other vegetation that thrive in wet climates with cool temperatures typical of the Pacific Northwest.
Deciduous/Fall Color Forests primarily have trees with leaves that turn colors in the Fall.
